Reconciliation Tour
#WWConverge Baseball is a beautiful game, especially when played in a community. Not long ago, Baseball Beyond Borders and Converge Media took a powerful, eye-opening journey through the heart of the south which included baseball, civil rights, and reconciliation. It featured a baseball clinic, a tour of a Historically Black College/University - Jackson State University, and a trip to Montgomery AL by way of Edmunds Pettis Bridge, to visit the Equal Justice Initiative Museum and Memorial. We were accompanied by a host of friends and allies to find serenity in a sport and preserve the cultural legacy. Witness the sights and sounds of our journey to find healing through sports. "These Hands" the making of Cassava Bread at Sabal's Food Products in Dangriga, Belize
In Belize, Cassava is one of the most important food staples. You find cassava all over the place, from cassava chips to cassava four to cassava bread and everything in between. Cassava is part and parcel of the culture especially the Garifuna People. During Converge Media's recent visit to Belize last month the crew visited Sabal's Food Products in the town of Dangriga and were able to witness the age-old process of harvesting cassava from the earth and transforming it into bread. Making cassava bread is hard work but it is also a labor of love. Be on the lookout for the full segment in early 2022.
